storhm.comStorhm Technologies makes fiber-optic HDMI connectors that transmit uncompressed 4K signal beyond 300m with zero quality loss — a genuine leap forward in durability and clarity from copper. Evolve built the company from the name up: identity, product design, tradeshow presence, and launch film.
Storhm was launching against a commodity category — HDMI cables that consumers, integrators, and broadcast engineers all assume are interchangeable. The founding team had a real engineering breakthrough but no story anyone outside the lab could repeat. Every fiber-optic marketing playbook on the market defaults to the same visual clichés: glowing threads, network-graph swooshes, generic gradients. Storhm needed to look like infrastructure a broadcast engineer would trust, not a consumer accessory chasing a trend.
We started with the name. 'Storhm' — a deliberate misspelling of 'storm' — carried the connotations of electricity, speed, and inevitability the founders wanted, while giving them a defensible trademark and a clean .com. From there we built out visual identity, a strict-grid icon system that echoes the fiber strands inside the connector itself, and full product industrial design refinement in 3D. A launch film shot the product cold and technical, closer to an automotive reveal than a tech ad. The tradeshow booth was designed as a dark theatrical box so the product could speak — matte black architecture, cool blue accent lighting, and live signal demos over 300m of coiled cable.
Storhm launched with a complete brand system, a manufacturing-ready product, and a tradeshow presence that opened conversations with broadcast integrators, live-event AV firms, and pro-install distributors across North America. The identity has been deployed cleanly across product packaging, technical spec sheets, and channel-partner collateral.
